Our Initial Assessment allows parents to gain a detailed insight into their child’s ability at any given point in time (Year 5 children only)
The assessment can be taken at any point in time and is a great tool for identifying a child's strengths and weaknesses, it is useful for parents who are looking to appoint a personal tutor as it provides an impartial insight into their child’s current ability.
About the assessment paper:
- 60 questions covering all 3 levels of complexity: level 1 – easiest, level 2 – medium, level 3 - most complex.
- Covers all subjects in the 11 plus syllabus: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning & Non Verbal Reasoning.
- The test will be timed: 40 minutes long, reflects the time restrictions of a real-life 11 plus exam.
- Children will receive immediate feedback: there will be detailed step-by-step explanations of each question. These explanations will demonstrate to children the correct methods which they should use to approach each question.
- Detailed Analysis for parents: this outlines the child’s performance, breaking each subject down into levels and helping to pinpoint areas that require further development.
- Progress report: This section of the analysis will compare the child’s performance against the level we would expect them to be at in relation to the amount of time they have left before they sit their 11 plus exam.
