Solihull's 11+ based educational company Key Stages Online ( were presented with the prestigious title of 'Outstanding Business of the Year' at an awards ceremony held last week at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham City Centre. The event, arranged in conjunction with the Institute of Asian Business (IAB) was arranged to pay recognition to the achievements and endeavours of Midlands based Asian firms.

KSOL overcame some tough competition in order to win the award, as judges assessed the nominees based on stringent criteria covering "success, customer service and exceeding previous performance or expectations". After being presented with the 'Outstanding Business of the Year' award, Aron Dhunna, Director of KSOL reflected on the company's achievement, referring to it as "a spectacular honour" commenting: "the award recognises how we work with children and help to raise their confidence in Maths and English".

Established only 4 years ago, KSOL's most recent accolade confirms how the company continues to go from strength to strength after being awarded 'Best Business' in 2007 and 'Best Added Service Provider' by Advantage West Midlands ICT forum in 2008.

The system available online at works by firstly assessing the child's current level of understanding and identifying any weak areas within their education. The state of the art learning system then schedules a unique learning programme, specific to that individual, which helps to raise the child's literacy and numeracy skills in line with the required 11+ and SATS requirements. By firstly identifying and then alleviating the child's weak areas, KSOL helps the child to build self confidence and as a result academic results increase.

As well as providing online learning programmes also run a number of 11+ learning centres in Handsworth, Shirley, Sutton and Warwick where children can receive tailored personal tuition.
