What are Grammar School selection tests?
These are tests that are specifically designed to capture the brightest children in the area. There are often a series of tests that the child needs to do in order to show their full potential. Depending on the school(s) that you are applying for, these tests may include English; Mathematics; Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning.
The Grammar Schools will simply select the top number of children that they require to fill the spaces available.
To find out if your child will be taking all four tests mentioned above, you will need to contact your Local Education Authority (LEA).
