11 Plus Education FAQs

Q. Who writes the 11 plus questions for the KSOL courses?

A. All of the educational content which we submit to children on our tuition courses is written by our own in house team of experienced educationalists. All questions are written based on our research of the various examining bodies and our years of experience in helping children prepare for the 11 plus exams.

Q. When is the best time to start my child on an 11 plus programme?

A. It is important that a child is not burnt out or tired of the 11 plus before they take the entrance exam. Children should start no earlier than year 4. Our Year 4 Early Starter Course is an ideal introduction to the 11 plus curriculum.

Q.
How long has the company been running?

A.
The company was originally launched in 2004 as a paper based 11 plus tuition company subsequently moving online in 2006. Since the launch of the KSOL website in 2006 we have won a number of awards which pay tribute to the uniqueness of our service and the care and attention which we pay to individuals who use our services. Some of the prestigious titles we have been awarded over recent years are ‘Best Business’ by Solihull Times in 2007, ‘Highly Commended Service Provider’ by ICT Cluster in 2008 and ‘Outstanding Business of the Year’ by Institute of Asian Business in 2009.

N.B For a more detailed insight into the companies background please refer to our History page available under All About KSOL.

Q. What is the 11plus teaching ratio within your KSOL centres?

A. At all of our KSOL tuition centres the emphasis is very much on the quality of education which children receive. For this reason we operate a strict 1:5 tutor to pupil ratio (maximum) to ensure each child is receiving focused personal tuition specific to their individual needs.

Q. Are your 11plus tutors CRB checked?

A. Everyone who works within the KSOL team from the 11+ tutors who work face to face with the children at the centers to the educationalists and support team which work behind the scenes are all CRB checked to ensure your child’s security and safety at all times.
