The 11 plus test is split into two 45-50 minute papers and includes sections in verbal ability, numerical ability and non verbal ability. KSOL mock exams have been designed to reflect the real entrance exams, giving children the opportunity to experience not only the content and format of the real test papers, but the live exam environment too. Find KSOL mock exam dates below. Click here for terms and conditions.
Please note that the Shirley mock exams taking place in August are all the same paper.
There are currently 5 grammar schools for the consortium of grammar schools in Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton; Adams' Grammar School, Newport Girls' High School, Queen Mary's Grammar School, Queen Mary's High School and Wolverhampton Girls' High School.
The CEM (Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring at University of Durham) provide the entrance assessment, however the content and weighting of the exam differs to the Birmingham/Warwickshire CEM exam; sections are divided equally into thirds for Maths, verbal ability and non verbal reasoning. This mock exam is split into 2 papers of approximately 45 minutes and contains individually timed sections. Click here for terms and conditions.

Prepares children for the real exam - Our exams help to alleviate any nerves or fears early on so that they can learn to focus on tackling the exam in a calm and composed manner.
Shows current level of ability - You will receive a confidential ranking which demonstrates your child's current level of ability in relation to other children sitting the exam.
Every exam is different and increases in difficulty - Each mock exam gradually increases in difficulty in the lead up to the real 11+ exam, ensuring the highest level of preparation.
Optional detailed analysis reports - Our optional detailed reports (£15) break down a child's results into each section, highlighting key areas of strength/weakness and topic analysis. For each question in the exam you will know the topic of the question, e.g. ratios and whether your child answered it correctly/incorrectly or did not attempt it. You will also have a detailed analysis of your child's exam technique skills and what improvements can be made. Please note that you will not receive a copy of the exam paper or questions.
