With KSOL's online Graduate Course, we work on pay as you go basis whereby you pay a month in advance of the education which you receive via our repeat billing procedure - this can be made on a credit or debit card of your choice. You are not tied into any long term contacts as we like to ensure that both parents and children are comfortable on our tuition courses - your child’s education is of the upmost importance. Depending on where children are based in the UK, they will take their 11 plus exam at different points during the year. We can construct a tailored Year 5 course and keep the momentum flowing up until the actual date of their exam
There are no fees.
We simply ask that you give us 1 calendar month's notice period in writing or over the phone. We will then bring the child’s account to a convenient closing point and cancel the repeat billing procedure immediately. However, if you are not cancelling at the start of your subscription payment cycle, you may have a final pro-rata payment to make, in order to complete the 1 month notice period required for cancellations.
We are confident that your child will love our online tuition courses. However, you have up to 14 days to request a refund (this does not include the registration fee). After the first month, normal cancellation policy applies.
Don't worry! Your child can access any 11 plus practice tests which have been missed by selecting the ‘Take Test’ tab within their online account (for more information please refer to the user guide). We do advise children, wherever possible, to take the 11 plus practice tests on the days in which they occur. Although we do understand that sometimes this is not possible, we believe that maintaining a routine is beneficial to children and building up a back log of tests should be avoided so as not to overwhelm them.
Firstly, no matter where you are in the world, as long as you have access to the internet your child will be able to access their 11 plus online tests. Therefore if you wish for your child to continue taking 11 plus tests during this period you will be able to continue as normal. Alternatively, if you do not wish for your children to continue taking their 11 plus online tests during their holiday, we can stop any new tests being delivered over this time period and reschedule your child’s online timetable once they return home from their holiday.
If you child is having problems understanding a particular 11 plus question or topic areas, do not panic! We are here to help! The 11 plus can be set up to 1 or 2 years in advance of the current state curriculum which means that sometimes, throughout the course, we may ask your child a question on a subject area which they have not yet covered at school. Because of the intelligent way in which our courses are designed, once we identify an instance such as this, we can then start to tailor the future tests to focus on this area with resit questions or tailored questions (for more information please refer to the user guide).
The step by step explanations given for each question will really help your child. However, if your child is still having problems understanding a particular 11 plus topic, please do not hesitate to contact us at the office quoting the question ID which your child is struggling with. We will be able to pass you over to one of our tutors who can explain the subject area in a little more depth. N.B You can find a question ID at the top of the step by step explanation of a question. It will typically look something like this 'MAFRAC4~1~10~'.
For every subject test which your child takes online they will have the opportunity to gain points which they can then later trade in for a number of real life rewards and prizes which can be found on the ‘Prizes and Rewards’ section of our website. Once your child meets the required number of points for the prize they are looking to receive, simply give us a call at the office and we will get this prize posted out to you. You can see the number of points your child has accumulated on their online dashboard (for more information please refer to the user guide).
Generally, it is not possible to reset a daily test without a justifiable reason. The tutors will be looking at incorrect questions as part of their interventions and reseting quizes will not provide the correct information. Once a course has been completed no element of the course can be reset.
All of the educational content we submit to children on our tuition courses is written by our own in house team of experienced educationalists. All questions are written based on our research of the various examining bodies and over 16 years of experience helping children prepare for the 11 plus exams.
This depends on each individual child. However, it is important that a child is not burnt out or tired of the 11 plus before they take the entrance exam. We believe that children should start no earlier than Year 3. Our Year 3 Young Learners Course is an ideal introduction to the 11 plus curriculum.
