The Exam

The Ilford County High School, is situated in the London Borough of Redbridge, the school conducts its examination process in a single on-site round. All applicants are invited to sit a GL assessment, comprising of 2 papers, the first paper consists of English and Verbal Reasoning. The second paper consists of Mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Admissions Criteria

The school offers 180 spaces for admission into Year 7. In the highly likely scenario where the number of qualifying applicants exceeds the available spots, the allocation of places follows this hierarchy:

1. Currently looked after children and previously looked after.

2. Places will be offered to 45 (25%) children who are entitled to the pupil premium.

3. Other children living in the common catchment area.

4. Children living outside the common catchment area.
