11+ GL Mock Exam with 25% Extra Time

Reasonable Adjustments Mock Exam in Shirley, Solihull

For children sitting the Birmingham and Warwickshire Entrance Exam in 2026.

Help your child feel prepared for the real 11+ exam with a mock exam that includes 25% extra time.

KSOL’s Reasonable Adjustments Mock Exam in Shirley is designed specifically for children preparing for the 11+ GL entrance test who are entitled to 25% extra time. It gives your child the chance to practise in a realistic exam setting, with the timing, structure and expectations adjusted to reflect this extra-time arrangement.

Your child will sit a timed GL-style paper in a supervised environment, with audio instructions and a separate answer sheet. This helps them become familiar with the format of the test, practise managing their time with the additional allowance, and build confidence before the real exam in September.

The exam has been written by our qualified teachers and will be invigilated by our experienced team, so parents can feel reassured that their child is receiving focused, realistic and carefully managed exam practice.

Why KSOL's Reasonable Adjustments with 25% Extra Time Birmingham and Warwickshire Mock Exam Helps Children

The exam is not just about knowing the content. KSOL mock exams help children stay focused and manage the paper under time pressure. They provide:

1

Exam routine

Your child practises sitting in a formal exam room, listening carefully to instructions and working through timed GL-style sections. This helps the real test feel more familiar and less overwhelming.

2

Avoid mistakes

The setting helps reveal issues that home practice can miss, such as rushing, losing focus or not using the answer sheet correctly.

3

Clear next steps

Parents receive feedback that helps identify your child’s secure areas, weaker points and exam habits that may need attention. This gives you a clearer sense of what to focus on in the final stage of preparation.

What Happens on the Day

From the moment your child arrives, our experienced team will help them feel calm, settled and clear about what to do.

The mock exam is completed under supervised, formal exam conditions, helping children experience the structure of the real 11+ test before the actual day. They will sit paper-based GL-style papers with timed sections with 25% extra time, clear instructions, audio guidance and a separate answer sheet.

Unlike a standard mock exam, KSOL mock exams are overseen by our experienced, DBS-checked invigilators who are also fully qualified teachers. They do more than supervise the room. They observe how children approach the exam, make notes during the session and act as your eyes and ears on the day.

This means we can report back on anything that may help your child improve, from confidence and concentration to timing, instructions, answer sheet accuracy and exam technique. Your child gains valuable exam practice and you gain clearer insight into how they performed under real test conditions.
